Join us
We are community committed to positive peace, healthy conversations, understanding, and service. Guided by Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self” and the Four-Way Test, we strengthen both inner peace and collective peace through grassroots action, personal growth, and social transformation.
Mission
To empower active volunteers in grassroots peacebuilding initiatives that foster social harmony, dismantle barriers, and reduce disharmony. We build community where everyone feels they belong and are valued for who they are and the gifts they bring to the world.
Based in the Thompson-Okanagan-Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada, our club is colourful, youthful, inclusive, diverse, and energetic. We are apolitical and secular, while drawing wisdom from traditions that align with building harmony. Membership is open worldwide through a hybrid format of in-person and online bi-monthly events.
Vision
We envision communities where:
- Social harmony and justice replace inequity and division.
- People are curious and listen to understand diverse worldviews.
- Peace literacy skills are widespre
- People build bridges across divides and celebrate diversity.
- Grassroots action advances Peace on Earth by 2030.
Peace 'n Pizza
Bringing humanity to our society by developing curiosity about other’s world views through story telling and listening in a fun format.
Peace ‘N Pizza is a monthly evening event hosted by First Community and Rotary Peace Builders to hear interesting everyday people’s stories. Structured as a fire-side chat people from all corners of our community will tell their story about who they are and how they got to “Now”.
We will develop new understanding and perspective of different world views, while enjoying pizza, salads and other great food for all dietary needs.

Gain concrete knowledge and resources to help foster peace.
Created by the Institute for Economics & Peace, the internationally-renowned think tank, the IEP Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for individuals with both extensive experience in peace as well as those new to the field to gain concrete knowledge and resources to help foster peace in their communities.
This includes an in-depth understanding of IEP’s research and methodology, as well as a concrete understanding of how to communicate peace research. This six-week programme is designed to provide you with the information, resources, and tools to understand and communicate innovative peace research and inspire your community.

Learn about peace!
Join us in projects that excite and train individuals to take action in creating harmony in themselves, their family, friends, in the community, nation, and the world.
We collaborate with groups and promote and support their projects to bring people together and reduce divisiveness.
Kindness needs to be everybody’s habit, it’s as easy as smiling and wishing others well. For those of us that need some practice, our
Kindness Finder suggests acts of kindness and receives stories of kindness to be published and shared.
